New Town Mela is a well known community engagement forum for the citizen of New Town Kolkata and surrounding
areas held from 24.12.2019. The Mela included book stalls as a major attraction and other stalls associated to
household goods and a specific kids zone. Considering the visitors’ interest in the mela, DIT&E, GoWB has decided to
set up a dedicated stall in the Mela to promote its initiatives and a few citizen centric solutions that are readily available
in the market. Seven start ups have joined hands with DIT&E, GoWB through NASSCOM to participate in this mela and
promote their citizen centric solutions. The stall was inaugurated by Shri Debashis Sen, IAS, Addl Chief Secretary, Dept
of IT & E, Govt of West Bengal.
