Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister in Charge, Finance, Information Technology and Electronics, Industry Commerce &

over Blockchain and how it can be good for the society,
for economy and for the common people, keeping in
mind that a significant proportion of India lives in rural
sector, in villages, who don’t have access to internet.
Human beings cannot become slave of technology.
Technology will have to become a slave of human beings
which is the origin of the intension of discovering newer
technologies. He spoke at length about he is both
sceptical about the practical use case of blockchain, but
also equally hopeful about the change that it can bring
