At the time of Tea break Shri Bratya Basu, Hon’ble Minister-in-Charge, Department of IT & E, Govt. of West Bengal
addressed to a press conference at a separate lounge. He announced that Hon’ble Chief Minister will inaugurate her
th
dream project The Bengal Silicon Valley Hub on 13 August and hoped that the hub will attract all big companies to
Bengal. The Big IT players namely Infosys and Wipro are already into it.

He mentioned that to encourage and support young talented start-ups there are 15 IT Parks already in operation and
Hardware Parks and EMCs are being ready.

Shri Debashis Sen, IAS, Addl. Chief Secretary, DITE, Govt of West Bengal explained the motive of Bengalathon and also
described the topics which are given to the competitors. All these topics are chosen to cater some kind of benefit to
the society. Those who can design App there is provision of award for them.
