He elaborated how the Department of IT & Electronics is laying great deal of emphasis on all emerging technologies.
He emphasized on importance of Blockchain. Blockchain is the fundamental and an immutable ledger which is very
difficult to manipulate. DIT&E is encouraging people to adopt, learn and make use cases of Blockchain. He also
mentioned that Blockchain based crowd funding mechanism is made live by running it for a very noble cause for
building up Vivek Tirtha by Ramakrishna Mission. He referred to the policy guideline which lays down strategy for
technology and electronics in the state of West Bengal and talks about emerging technologies including Blockchain,
IoT, Machine Learning and many other things in each of the field where the Government is working. The Government
is acting as a platform in terms of 15 IT Parks, Electronics Manufacturing Clusters at Sonarpur and Falta, Hardware
Manufacturing Cluster, and the Silicon Valley project. It’s a platform for other to come in and to do something.
