West Bengal Day was celebrated in IITF on November 23,
2018. A cultural programme was held at Hamsadhwani
theatre from 6 pm onwards. Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble
Minister-in-Charge of Finance, Industry, Commerce &
Enterprise, Information Technology and Electronics and
e-Governance as well as Micro Small Medium Enterprise
and Textile, Government of West Bengal graced the
occasion. He also addressed a press conference in the
afternoon. Shri Joy Bhattacharjee and Smt Jojo
Mukherjee performed in the West Bengal Day function.

Dr. Amit Mitra, Hon’ble Minister, while addressing the
Press Conference emphasised on the growth of IT sector
in West Bengal and mentioned how animation is being
taught with 100% job placement. Referring to the Silicon
Valley Hub he said that whether it’s IT or Manufacturing,
significant investment is coming up.
